Andy Perez Tattoo

As of yesterday I will no longer be on the schedule at True Blue Tattoo. After almost a year to the day, and some seriously great times, I came to the tough decision that I could no longer realistically maintain my current workload and my sanity. Unfortunately, one of my 3 shops had to go. If we have any outstanding work that we started at True Blue (I know there’s at least 2 sleeves floating around out there) I will be available to finish up, just call the shop they will book you in on one of my days off. I am succeeded by the handsome and capable Graham (muscle) Beech, lock up your daughters, Queens! Also joining True Blue is Brian Lynch formerly of Sid’s Tattoo Parlor in San Diego. Both these fellas are solid tattooers and solid dudes. Thanks so much to big papa Vinny Signorelli and everyone else at True Blue. I’m really gonna miss you fucking assholes. See y’all soon.

Happy New year, and I hope all three of you reading this had a safe and fun holiday! A couple of big announcements, well, actually one big, and one just regular.

As of this week I can now be found every Sunday and Monday at Electric Tattoo in Bradley Beach NJ! I’m seriously honored I was asked to go work there, Tom, Mike, Bink, and Rich are all world-class tattooers and world-class dudes, and I’m stoked I get to share space with them on a weekly basis!

The regular news is that I will be working the Philadelphia Tattoo Convention Feb 10th-12th my good friend John Poverty of Goose tattoo here in Brooklyn and I will be sharing a booth. look for us (hopefully) next to my co workers at the Thicker Than Water booth!

I still have plenty of availability for the convention so if you’d like to get tattooed please drop me a line at andy@andypereztattoo.com and I’ll get you sorted out.

Lastly I know I havent updated this much, been busy as all get out with shop changes holidays and the like, but if you are an iphoner and interested I post a fairly steady stream of ner tattoos to my instagram account @andyjperez so feel free to follow me there until I can figure out how to make what happens there happen here.

It is with a heart full of gratitude and no small amount of sadness that I announce my departure from Jersey City Tattoo. as of January 1st 2012.  JCTC has been my home for the past 3 and a half years and perhaps not where I learned “how” to tattoo, but most certainly where I learned how to be a tattooer.  My gratitude to Adam, Chuck, and Jake for taking me in and making me a member of the JC family means more to me than I could ever put into words.  It is because of them I am where I am today.  I will be announcing my new Sunday/Moday home shortly and as you might imagine, for me to be leaving the boys, it’s kind of a big deal.  I’ll be leaving my spot at JCTC in the capable hands of Rich Smith of Thicker Than Water Tattoo in NYC, and Scott Althen, of True Blue Tattoo NYC and Mercury Tattoo, PA. (Yeah, that’s right, it takes two dudes to fill my shoes!)  If we have any outstanding work that needs to be completed, or if you just want to get one last banger in before I hit the dusty trail, please email me at andy@andypereztattoo.com I’ll miss all you guys a lot, but I’ll be around.  Again, thank you.
